Tips for Box Dividers
- Material thickness: 3–6 mm plywood or MDF works best. Thinner materials can become unstable with many compartments.
- Kerf compensation: The slots are widened by the cut width so the dividers fit snugly. Typical laser cutter values are 0.1–0.2mm.
- Test cut: Cut a 1×1 divider test first to check the fit of the slots.
- Assembly: First insert all Y dividers into one X divider, then push the remaining X dividers on from above.
